Stretchmarks
Stretch marks are not a fatality. The stretch mark treatment offered by your Maison Tóā can improve skin imperfections. Over the course of a lifetime, the skin undergoes changes that can lead to the appearance of stretch marks. These stretch marks appear as fine, purplish scars when they first appear. The colors fade with time. They can appear in both men and women.
What is a stretch mark?
Stretch marks, called striae distensae in scientific language, are a kind of scarring of the deep dermis. They appear when the skin is stretched too much, too quickly, and too brutally. They appear as fine purplish scars when they first appear and will gradually fade to white, but will never completely disappear.
What medical treatment can I consider at Maison Tóā ?
The topical use of retinol or retinoid stimulates collagen production. This substance is widely used in acne scars by dermatologists and is known to improve skin blemishes in general. It can be irritating, which is why its application in high concentrations must be supervised by our medical team.
The price of a session for a stretch mark treatment depends on the method used. Please note that the first medical consultation is reimbursed by the basic insurance. Make an appointment at our Lausanne-based center for a complete and detailed diagnosis of your skin.
Laser treatment for stretch marks
Stretch mark treatment with CO2 fractional laser
The fractional CO2 laser works by heating the surface of the skin. It crosses the epidermis through multiple microperforations, even in the middle to deep dermis, for a global regeneration of the different layers of the skin. As these holes heal, they will close up and lead to a smoothing of the skin, which, in several sessions, will considerably reduce stretch marks.

LED against stretch marks
Stretch mark treatment by light therapy
The LED (light-emitting diode) treatment brings light energy to the skin cells. The treatment produces different types of light waves of different colors. Each wave has a specific action depending on the type of cells it reaches. The red light mainly used in the treatment of stretch marks stimulates the metabolic activity of the cells of the dermis (more particularly the fibroblasts) and favors the synthesis of elastin and collagen which allows an improvement on the stretch marks of recent appearance. It takes 6 sessions to obtain a visible result. This method is painless and non-invasive. It is applicable on all types of skin.
After a 30-minute LED session, the patient suffers no side effects.

Stretch Mark Injection
Stretch Mark Treatment with Radiesse
Radiesse can be injected in diluted doses into the superficial dermis to help with stretch marks. The calcium hydroxyapatite in Radiesse is known to be a biostimulant, a substance capable of stimulating cells to produce their components. When injected into the surface of the stretch mark, it will stimulate the production of collagen and elastin. It is therefore very interesting to combine it with your LED or CO2 laser treatments.
