Radiesse Injections for Facial Volume
Alternative to hyaluronic acid by dermal biostimulation.
How does the treatment work?
Radiesse Injection is a product composed of microspheres of calcium hydroxyapatite crystals of synthetic origin, suspended in a sodium carboxymethyl cellulose carrier gel. Calcium hydroxyapatite is considered a biostimulant, which means that when injected under the skin, it can stimulate the production of your own collagen.
For whom is the treatment indicated?
For both men and women, this injection technique is used for several purposes. It is mainly used and recommended to fight against skin aging, to redefine the contours of the face or to remodel scars or stretch marks.
What part of the body can be treated?
- Deep wrinkles at the corners of the mouth, bitterness folds, nasolabial folds: Thanks to its lifting effect, Radiesse is very effective in treating deep wrinkles and facial lines.
- Oval of the face: Radiesse injections can be performed from the mandibular angle to the chin to achieve better definition of the oval of the face.
- Hands: Hand tone and firmness can be improved with Radiesse injections.
- Neck: Radiesse helps fight premature skin aging and, for some people, improves the presence of horizontal folds.
What results can be expected after a session?
The result can be seen directly after the session when used as a filler and contouring product.
Radiesse is injected in Lausanne, in our specialized clinic.
Its use as a lifting product will be visible from 6 weeks and at most after 3 months.
An optimal correction is possible with a single injection. For certain indications, a second injection is recommended 6 weeks after the first session.
To maintain the effect, it is recommended to repeat the injections once a year.
How does the session take place?
The skin is first removed. The doctor agrees with the patient on the areas to be treated. The product is then injected a few millimeters deep using needles or cannulas.
The price for a Radiesse injection session starts at 590 Swiss francs. The procedure lasts between 20 and 40 minutes.
Does it hurt?
Radiesse injections are not painful because the product contains lidocaine, a local anesthetic that numbs the treated area once injected.
What happens after the treatment?
Redness and slight inflammation may appear after the injections, but disappear within 48 hours. In case of bruises, they disappear within 3-6 days after the injection and can be covered by a foundation the day after the treatment.
