How Does the Treatment Work?

Our Vampire Lift treatment is a deep regenerating procedure that works at the heart of the skin by combining two advanced aesthetic medicine technologies: PRP and medical microneedling.

Microneedling stimulates the skin’s natural self-healing process, as well as the production of collagen and elastin. Composed of 20 tiny needles, the Dermapen, the tool used during the treatment, pierces the epidermis and dermis at varying depths. These “microcuts,” invisible to the naked eye, allow the PRP to penetrate deeply and act quickly.

PRP injections in the face also stimulate the production of collagen, an essential protein for skin health. Collagen helps maintain skin firmness and elasticity, which helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

How Does the Session Proceed?

The PRP (platelet-rich plasma) treatment combined with Dermapen is performed on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia with Emla cream applied 40 minutes before the procedure, making the vampire lift treatment completely painless, even during the postoperative phase. The patient who decides to undergo this type of treatment will have a small blood sample of about 6 ml taken 10 minutes before the procedure.

Immediately after the blood draw, the blood is centrifuged to separate the white and red blood cells from the plasma, the liquid part where the platelets are found.

Next, the face is first cleaned with an alcoholic solution to prevent any infections. Once the skin is prepared, the PRP (platelet-rich plasma) will be applied drop by drop over the entire treatment area. Finally, using the Dermapen™ electric pen, micro-perforations will be made to allow this youth elixir to penetrate the superficial and deep dermis.

Immediately after the injections, the treatment will be completed by applying a mask enriched with hyaluronic acid to maximize the effect of the combined treatments and reduce post-treatment redness. In the minutes following the treatment, growth factors are released by the platelets themselves. In this way, the process of rejuvenating the epidermal tissue begins, although the results are concretely visible only in the following weeks, with patients reporting a radiant complexion and visibly tightened pores just a few days after the treatment.

An “attack phase” consists of 3 treatments at 1-month intervals, while the maintenance phase ideally includes 2 treatments per year. Redness may persist for 2 days. We recommend avoiding direct sun exposure for a week.
