PRP Therapy in Lausanne: Skin and Hair Rejuvenation
PRP injection consists of injecting one’s own platelet-enriched serum.
How does PRP work?
There are 3 types of cells in our blood: white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets, all of which are surrounded by a liquid called plasma. It serves to transport the cells throughout the body. Plasma contains growth factors with tissue regenerating properties, as well as nutrients, vitamins, hormones, minerals and proteins.
For whom is platelet-rich plasma indicated?
People with mild to moderate hair loss, people with thinning hair, people with brittle hair, and people who have had a hair transplant.
People who are concerned about preventing skin aging.
People wishing to treat skin imperfections (acne scars, dark circles, stretch marks)
People who want to regenerate the intimate areas of the body to give them more firmness and tone (large vaginal lips)
What part of the body can be treated with PRP injections?
PRP injections can be performed on the face, body, scalp and genital areas.
PRP injections take place in Lausanne, in our specialized clinic.
What results can be expected after a session?
Injected into the dermis, it immediately gives a radiant and toned skin after the first session. After 4 weeks, the skin becomes more supple and relaxed and we notice a reduction in skin imperfections.
After the first session, the hair will be less fragile and easier to style. It is necessary to wait 9-12 weeks before seeing hair growth.
For an optimal effect, it is recommended to have 3 sessions at 4 week intervals. Then, for maintenance, one session every 6 to 12 months depending on the area and the indication.
What happens during the session?
Before the procedure, aspirin should be avoided for 24 hours prior to the session. Blood is drawn from the arm and then centrifuged to isolate the platelets from the red and white blood cells. With a fine needle, the PRP is then injected into the dermis or hair follicle of the area to be treated.
The PRP injection is performed at our clinic in Lausanne, lasts about 40 minutes, and costs CHF 590 per session.
Does it hurt?
32G mesotherapy micro needles are used to make the treatment almost painless. An anaesthetic cream can be applied to the areas to be treated for better comfort.
What are the consequences of the treatment?
PRP is prepared from the patient’s own blood. It is therefore an autologous blood product, 100% biocompatible, without inflammatory signs at the injection site and without any risk of rejection or allergy. It is collected by means of a simple blood test. There is no social eviction.
Are there any contraindications?
PRP is contraindicated in people with skin lesions.
